I found this so frustrating because it was difficult to catch myself in the act. I could be mid-way through my second glass before I realised I was drinking! In fact getting awareness about drinking was one of the most important steps I took on my journey to stopping over drinking. As was learning to spot a distraction at 100 paces. It sounds such a simple thing but these things were sooooo important. Which is where zero distraction drinking comes into its own.
When I started to dig into my drinking patterns I quickly found that I was a very distracted drinker. Drinking while making dinner. Drinking in front of the TV. Drinking at 6pm.
