But they all have one thing in common: they are currently thinking about drinking more than they want. Far more.
That’s right. Even though they want to drink less, they are thinking about alcohol. A lot. Perhaps more than usual. Which in turn works against their efforts to actually be able to drink less. Because it increases their desire for alcohol. Make it seem even more irresistible. This is what I call booze brain. Striving to drink less but talking about it more. Not wanting it but feeling deprived at the same time. It’s frustrating and unnecessary.
