I teach my clients how to break the failure loop. In fact I talk a lot in my work about the importance of failure. Specifically how to achieve growth through failure.

I believe failure is the best way to grow because we learn through taking action, evaluating, making adjustments, then taking more action. Taking massive action again and again even when there is no guarantee of success. 

And when it comes to something like changing your drink patterns you learn through doing. You can read all the books in the world on tips and techniques. Indeed you can listen to every one of my podcast episodes. But you can’t change your drinking intellectually. You need to actually take action. Consistent, massive action.
