Today I explore the intriguing topic of patterns. We all have them. Many, in fact – a set of repeated behaviours along which we run our lives. But many people are not aware of them – we often just think “this is the way life is”. As though we’re following a pre-programmed journey. But every single one of our routines has been created or adopted by us. No-one else. 

This is tremendously good news. As patterns have such a HUGE influence over how we live our lives, especially when it comes to making our dreams a reality, it’s important to recognise that we have all the power over them. Just because you’ve been living a certain way, thinking certain thoughts or taking certain action for what seems like forever, so what? You have all the power to change your life if you wish. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been drinking for years, if your family are all drinkers or any other story – if you want to change your relationship with alcohol, you have the power to do this. Once you start breaking apart the drinking habit to see what’s going on you’ll see how your patterns are operating.
