How to access confidence? A lot of people believe that confidence is a character trait which you either have or don’t have. That some people are born with it and others not. But that’s not so. Confidence is a skill that can be developed. 

Here’s the reason I want to dedicate a whole podcast episode on how to access confidence. I meet so many people – and this was true for me back in the day – who drink to feel more confident. I used to go to so many large meet and greet events with corporate reseller partners, colleagues and customers and I used to despise those events. So I would have a drink or three. I told myself it was my way to enjoy the events more and perform better. That it made me more able to talk to other people.

And while it’s true that alcohol did make it easier to face these events, in reality the wine didn’t change anything about the events – just my thoughts ABOUT them. This was a game changer. And once I started to apply it in other aspects of my life I felt unstoppable.

In this week’s podcast I explain how to access confidence through two gateway emotions, so you can approach your drinking goals with confidence that you will achieve them.
